Android is 100% opt-in, you can disable it, it doesnt hold nearly the amount of information (in quantity or accuracy), and it cannot be identified to a specific device. Not to mention, once you disable location services (in your menus) it del's the files that contain the location information...

Its a double edged sword. If you want location based search information it has to know where you are...
