Have My Own Room

Nothing like St. Louis in the Spring!
Interesting week of weather 'round these parts.
I'm sure you've all seen this on the national news, but here are some shots from inside and outside my office. https://picasaweb.google.com/timlael/WorkDamage# From a perspective of national news coverage, my office is directly in-between the neighborhood that they kept showing (that was leveled) and Lambert St. Louis Airport (also heavily damaged). 26 of our 35 air conditioners were removed from the roof. Most weigh in excess of 5,000 lbs. each. There is an aerial shot of the roof that is directly above the worst of the interior damage. The vehicles outside are Lambert's long term parking. Total devastation. I sat and watched several vacation goers return to their vehicles this morning. The reactions were amazing. Luckily my home was spared any major damage. Not the case for everyone. Estimates have nearly 750-1000 homes destroyed or uninhabitable. I think they said the path was right at 25-30 miles long and 1/2 mile wide in spots. Intensity was from EF0 to EF4. It was estimated to be EF3 when it hit our office.
