Default Unpleasant encounter

This did not happen to me, but to my business partner this past weekend. He was visiting short sands beach at York Maine and decided to enjoy a cigar while taking in the scenery. He sat on the beach in the 43 degree temp and lit up, just soaking in the sun and watching the waves. Now given the temp, there were only about about six people on the beach but a woman walking her dog found it necessary to approach him and lecture him rather excitedly that smoking was not allowed on the beach and he should stop immediately.
He listen until she had blown off all her steam, pulled out his business card and handed it to her saying: "Lady, here's my card. Why don't you go get the smoking police and have me arrested. Now get out of my face cause you're ugly. Oh by the way, nice dog you've got there, I had one just like it in the Carribean last week, it tasted good".
With that she left in a rather large huff and my partner finished his cigar in peace.
BTW, he did later see that there was a knocked down sign at the beach that banned smoking and dogs not on a leash.
