Tatuaje Verocu #9
The Tatuaje Verocu #9 is a 4½x50 Holts exclusive but regular Tatuaje smokers might recognize the blend from the Tatuaje verocu tubos (the red tube) and I believe this cigar is related to the east and west coast Tatuaje's too, but I am not 100% sure of it.
The cigar has a nice dark and oily wrapper with a few veins. The cigar has a strong barnyard smell. The construction feels good and the predraw is just as fine. I taste some pepper. I taste a mild peppery earth flavor which is also mild sweet. The flavors start full but tone down a bit. The pepper disappears soon. I like these flavors. After an inch I also taste some leather and wood with the earthy flavor while the sweetness fades away. Halfway the leather gets stronger. The sweetness returns with a lot of earth flavor and some leather in the aftertaste. After two thirds I get more spice and herbs, the leather disappeared. I still taste the earth flavor but it is on the background now. This cigar gave me fiftyfive minutes of pleasure. I got a lot of thick smoke. The ash is both light and dark colored and firm. This cigar is medium to full flavored and full bodied. The draw and the burn are good. Would I buy this cigar again? A box will be ordered Appearance: 8 / 10 Construction: 8 / 10 Draw: 8 / 10 Burn: 8 / 10 Smoke & ash: 8 / 10 Aroma first part: 8 / 10 Aroma second part: 8 / 10 Aroma third part: 8 / 10
