Default Liga Privada t52 robusto

Ever since I smoked my first Liga Privada, the No. 9, I am in love with the brand. Heck, I’m wearing a Liga Privada cap while I am typing this review. I never had the t52 blend until a few weeks ago when I was in Florida for vacation. When I got back home I found out that the t52 is now available in The Netherlands and I picked up a robusto, which has a € 10.00 price here in The Netherlands.

Although it is called robusto, it looks bigger and more badass than the standard 5x50 robustos, I don’t know why because the length is the same and it is only a bit thicker with the 52 rg. The wrapper is dark, almost black, oily and shiny. I see a few small veins. The band is simple yet clear and pretty. The construction feels good and I smell a barnyard smell with straw and wood. The predraw is fine and I taste straw, pepper and raisin.

I taste a smooth coffee flavor, warm and without the bitterness I usually taste when a cigar starts with a full coffee flavor. I also taste some hay. After a quarter of an inch I taste an earthy flavor with a mild pepper and some chocolate sweetness with wood. The pepper is mild and only noticeable in the aftertaste. After half an inch I taste nuts and wood, with some pepper and a bit of an earty flavor. These are the flavors that I taste for a long time.

The pepper disappears. The wood and nut flavors are balanced and complex. It is hard to describe the flavors, but what I taste is nice and unique. After two thirds I taste a sweet earthy flavor with a mild aftertaste of white pepper. The nut flavor is gone and I taste something that reminds me of carrots. I like it.

I got a lot of thick white smoke. The draw is fantastic and the burn is good. The ash starts out dark but gets lighter along the way and it is quite firm. This full flavored and full bodied cigar has a smoke time of two hours.

Would I buy this cigar again? No doubt about it
