Default Loss of a Friend

Although I am no longer on this board as often as I once was, I still feel that I can relate unfortunate real life situations to a group whom I refer to as friends. Today I lost my beautiful calico cat Trixie to old age at the age of 17.She had a great life and sufferred no pain outside of her arthritis for which we made allowances and accomodations for. She went off her feed a couple days ago and went to a peaceful sleep around noon est today. I was holding her when she passed and for that I am grateful that I was home and with her. I valued her love and friendship and already miss her. Sleep well Trixie and I pray that if I live my life in the right way, the Rainbow Bridge does exist. The toughest part is calling my daughter who is living her own life in New Mexico and telling her that Trix is gone. Thanks for letting me vent. Paul
