A gingery chicken fried rice recipe I created
Servings: 2 large portions
Ingredients: 3 tbs vegetable oil 2 cooked cups rice 1/2 tsp ginger red pepper flakes 1 diced garlic clove 1/4 cup soy sauce 3 sliced tenderloins of chicken (~1/2 cup) 1 diced carrot 2 diced celery sticks (Any other vegetables you want can be added) 1 egg scrambled Sliced green onion Cook 2 cups rice in a rice cooker. Once finished, put aside and let cool. Scramble your egg and set aside. Prepare vegetables and garlic. Heat vegetable oil in your wok. (Medium-High heat). Add garlic and chili pepper flakes (add to taste). Once garlic begins to speak, add the chicken and cook until it starts to brown. Add vegetables (carrots, celery, etc...) and cook until tender. Mix the soy sauce and ginger in a bowl. Then once the vegetables are cooked well, add the mix to the wok. Stir it all up and let it boil for about 30 seconds or so. Add cooked rice to the wok, and stir up until rice is evenly coated with the mix and vegetables. With the heat still on Medium-High, fry the rice, turning every minute or so until it is evenly cooked. Add egg and green onion to the mix, and stir a few times. Remove from heat and serve. : |
