Still Watching My Ash
|
She said...... Yes!
I have been dating my girlfriend for over three years now. Have known her for five or more. We have been living together in a house for 2 years now.
It all started on our first anniversary, I had got her an Opal, Diamond, and Ruby ring. She flipped and loved it!! Well somewheres down the line, the band got flattened. No problem, got lifetime warranty. Took it to the jeweler, While she was arranging to have it fixed, I talked to my friend, who works there, about a ring my gf had wanted for an engagement ring for about a year or so now. I asked how much it was............. well it was 70% off!! Now, im no cheap-ass, i was planning on getting it sooner or later but that sealed the deal. I had just spent $400+ on a pair of black diamond earings for her for Valentines. He said it was on sale until Valentines Day (this was on saturday) . I came back Valentine's Day, bought the ring, and while I was waiting, I thought to myself, "why not just ask her to marry you TODAY?" Thats what I was gonna do.... I bought the ring, walked around the corner to "The Epitome" B&M, grabbed and Opus X Fuente Fuente and away I went. I got outside, and texted her sis to see if her dad was home to ask him was my plans ok with his wishes? He was about 2+ hours away out of town and I didn't have that much time to wait (dinner reservations). I called and asked him over the phone and he was shocked, happy, and said "why yes, why not!". I stopped by two of my closest friends houses and showed them the ring and asked them to be in my wedding, they both agreed. I got home, made a small piece of paper that said "Will you Marry Me?" with a heart on it and cut it to fit inside the ringbox lid. I had the ring in pocket the whole way to the reasturant and while we waited for our table. We got seated and I "went to the restroom" but I was actually asking for the manager. I spoke with him and asked if he could help me propose to my gf. He was shocked and a tear came to his eye. He said "anyway possible my good man". I asked him to have him and the waitress bring out the ring on our dessert plate and I will do the rest. He said "no problem" took the ring to the safe and dinner went well. I ate Broiled Scallops that were the best I've ever eaten..... Dessert time. We were both stuffed but I had to order dessert! I ordered a Mardi Gras Cheese Cake slice. I saw the waitress get the cake, and take it to the back towards the safe and she was already shaking worse than me it seamed!! Next thing ya know her and the manager are walking towards our table. I get up from my seat, get on one knee, open the ring box and ask her, "Will You Marry Me?" and SHE SAID YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
