Default Austrian chocolate balls

AUSTRIAN CHOCOLATE BALLS

2 oz UNSWEEETENED CHOCOLATE
1/3 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE
1 CUP SUGAR
1 EGG
1 EGG YOLK
½ TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
1 ½ CUP FLOUR
½ CUP FINLEY CHOPPED WALNUTS


MELT BUTTER AND CHOCOLATE TOGETHER IN A MEDIUM SAUCEPAN OVER LOW HEAT. ONCE MELTED REMOVE FROM HEAT

NOW ADD THE SUGAR, EGG, EGG YOLK AND VANILLA EXTRACT IN TO THE MELTED CHOCOLATE AND BLEND WELL.

GRADUALLY ADD THE FLOUR AND NUTS INTO CHOCOLATE. SHAPE DOUGH INTO ¾ INCH BALLS AND PLACE THEM ONTO UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET ABOUT 1 INCH APART.
BAKE IN A 350-DEGREE OVEN FOR 8-12 MINUTES (UNTIL FIRM)
REMOVE FROM COOKIE SHEET AND ALLOW TO COOL.
