Perdomo 10th Anniversary Maduro Robusto
Knowing I'm a Perdomo fan, Dunkel sent me this stick in a trade we did a while ago.
Humidor time: 1 month Prelight: The wrapper was bumpy and has prominent veins, but had a nice shine to it. Construction looked nice, and the stick was heavy in the hand. Prelight draw was easy, tasting of coffee and chocolate. Burn: The burn started off uneven because my lighter ran dry while lighting (hate when that happens), requiring a quick refill and touchup. The stick also tunneled and went out twice during the last third (leaving me doing a Rodney McKay impression, "Oh no! Nononononononono."). I can only attribute the tunneling to the wet, cold weather here, as the cigar burned great otherwise, and took off after a relight like it had never gone out. Ash was a bit flaky, but held on well, and the draw was easy, producing tons of smoke. Flavor: Not much complexity here, this stick was all about the maddie goodness: coffee, chocolate, and a nice hint of oak for contrast. I nubbed this until my beard was smoldering. Oh yes, I nubbed it hard. Summary: "Please, sir, I want some more." Posted via Mobile Device |
