In the first lineup, I'm only familiar with the Scapa and Balvenie. Both are great. The Scapa is milder. I think the Sprinbank is also very good, but I think I only had it once. In the second lineup, I know Auchentoshan (worth a try), Old Pultney (I've only had an 8 yr old version), I love Caol Ila, but it may require some getting used to. It's peaty. Sorry I couldn't be more help. If they have such a great selection. Just ask the bartender to walk you through a tasting. Starting out I would stick to 3-4 samples. After that your taste buds may start to get over whelmed. Hope this helps. |
