Flor de Oliva maduro robusto
This Nicaraguan bundle cigar, from the Oliva budget line comes in a cellophane wrapper. It is a nice cigar to see, a dark wrapper with some nice veins all over it. But the band, man, that is pompous and it could use a little make over.
The first flavor is a bitter leather, but fortunately the bitterness disappears after a few puffs. After an inch I could clearly taste tobacco and after a sip of water there is a light chocolaty flavor on my palate. Somewhat later I could taste the chocolate again while the leather is a constant factor. The balance of leather and chocolate is perfect and to top it off it gets creamy. Close to the end the leather disappears and the chocolate is the only flavor. The ash is quite firm, on another Flor de Oliva robusto maduro I smoked I managed to keep the cone intact till the end. The smoke is full, white and creamy. Would I buy this cigar again? Yes, it is a nice snack cigar for little money Construction: 17 / 20 Draw: 16 / 20 Appearance: 14 / 20 Smoke & ash: 8 / 10 Burn: 14 / 20 Aroma (first part) 7 / 10 Aroma (middle part) 8 / 10 Aroma (last part) 7 / 10
