Arganese Maduro Presidente Robusto
March 14, 2009
Arganese Maduro Presidente Robusto It's a rainy day here in the south. So I'm settled in, here on the porch, with the last of the Tex Cigar Cigars. This one is the Arganese Maduro Presidente Robusto. It has a Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper with a Dominican Sumatra binder and Dominican filler. It's kinda of soft to the touch, with a couple of large veins running along the wrapper. It has a great pre-light smell...earthy. From the first draw you knew this was going to have a base flavor of expresso. It also has an underlying spiciness that is very subtle. The draw is nice and easy. The ash, however, is very flaky and weak. The burn was even and consistant through out. It's a well balanced cigar, melding the coffee flavors with the spiciness very well. Not very complex but that's not always a bad thing. This would be a great cigar if you just want to relax and let all your troubles melt away. I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar but would not place it on my most wanted list. Total smoke time was one hour. Rockestone Rating: 85 Thanks for reading.
