Default Tatuaje 10 Year Anniversary - Belle Encre

Size: 5.4 x 48
Wrapper: Ecuador Habano
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Body: Medium
Strength: Mild-Medium
Smoke Time: 1:45 -2 Hours

Construction:
Extremely oily wrapper. As you touch it you can feel the oil on your fingers. Very pretty wrapper. Seams are almost invisible, a decent size vein was on one of the cigars, but caused no issue. There is a slight box press to the sides of the cigar.

Pre-Light Aroma:
Very strong manure/barnyard smell off the wrapper. Cocoa off the foot.

First Third:
We get insanely smooth smoke off the first light. Main flavor is tobacco with some strong wood. The smoke is dry, but leaves an oil slick on your lips.

As the cigar gets past the perfecto tip, about 3/4" in, we pick up some cream flavor, but still dry smoke. the further you get into this third, the cream ramps up and starts to feel creamy. I pick up some unsweetened, cinnamon flavor that leaves a tingling feeling on my tongue. Jim picks up a faint charcoal flavor that reminds him of scotch.
The ash is slightly flaky and doesn't look sturdy.

Second Third:
The flavors of this cigar are blended so well, that it is hard to pick out individual flavors. Super savory. I retrohaled every puff of this cigar, and I finally get some of the charcoal/scotch flavor Jim was picking up. Wish we had a scotch with this! The finish is very long and this charcoal flavor is more prominent there. The tobacco flavor is gone, and wood is faint in the background.
Strength is mild-medium, with a medium body.

Final Third:
Charcoal is gone and Leather sneaks in to take the front stage. Cream slowly dies down until it disappears.

Last Thoughts:
Thanks to Samuel Travino for recommending this cigar for us to review during our Christmas Giveaway. Super tasty stick. Find them and try them! Fantastic Anniversary stick. We paired it with Not Your Father's Ginger Ale. Perfect combo.
