Re: Show your latest NC purchase IV
It has been a while since a decent cigar purchase happened with me, but with the youngest graduating and also enjoying cigars, I decided that when I got some disposable income, I'd get something unique - something excellent - hopefully, something nostalgic... Well, that's what I did. I found a way to order some Moore and Bode Cigars. I have not had any in a while, but they were astounding smokes. These are not powerhouses, those looking to knock their socks off might be disappointed, but they used to exhibit some complexity that was absolutely amazing.
Their packaging is also unique, a bit elegant compared to a cedar box, butcher paper on the outside, tin foil on the inside, and then red flannel tied wraps. The original blend (Miami) was fairly mild with hints of butter, but the primary notes were floral and earthy. The Flamboyan blend was a bit bolder, but I would still classify as a mild-medium, nuts and coffee predominate. Anyway, I got a 20-pack of Flamboyan Salvadores (5X50), 1 each of the Brass (5.5<70) and Full Brass (7.5<82) in both the Miami blend and the Flamboyan blend. This 2nd picture is a shot of the Brass & Full Brass straight on looking at the feet. I have decent sized hands, so those puppies have some serious girth at the foot. I have not smoked any yet, they are going to sit and rest a bit. But, I am excited to try these out again. Peace of the Lord be with you.
