Default Liga Privada T52 - Robusto

I meant post this much earlier but with work and getting a very nasty stomach virus I've been out of action for awhile and all my motivation just went out the door.

So, finally here is my review. I've had a couple of these in my humidor but never ventured to try one yet. This was obviously a mistake. Clayton (cmitch) hit me with this particular cigar so i thought i'd review it for my first one.

Liga Privada T52

Strength: FULL
Wrapper: stalk-cut Sungrown Habano
Origin: Nicaragua
Robusto (5.0"x52)

Appearance: Dark chocolate, rich and oily

Construction: Very solid with a rustic look that made it look VERY appealing

Pre-light smell and draw: Sweet tobacco, leather, chocolate, sweet on the lips. Very aromatic and perfect draw

Light: Smooth, Tons of smoke, sweetness, leather, chocolate, aromatic, a sweet spiciness

First Third: Leather, rich cocoa, sweet spiciness, very full tobacco, creamy, strong vanilla bean, earthy, pepper, espresso, light starter kindling pine with pitch (what can I say? I was getting some intense flavors)

Ash: Light gray, Very firm

Smoke: I'm a smoke hound and absolutely loved the intense amount of smoke this cigar put off. Very full and creamy textures

Burn: a little uneven at the start

Second Third: Strong coffee, espresso, leather, sweet spice, pepper, very earthy, tea, dark chocolate

Ash: light gray, solid, packed on tight

Smoke: perfect and beautiful

Burn: starting to even up

Last Third: dark, rich, and oily full tobacco flavor. sweet spice, pepper, very earthy, chocolate, tea, sweetness, VERY complex

Ash: light gray, flaking towards the finish

Smoke: an amazing amount of smoke. maybe the most smoke i've ever had from a cigar

Burn: perfect

Finish & Conclusion: A very full bodied/flavored smoke. It never once got harsh with a consistent sweetness throughout the experience. It was very earthy and complex. A very good and intriguing cigar. I can't wait to see this brand evolve over the next few years as it has the potential to dethrone the top NC cigars on the market today. I'm certainly glad I have a few more of these and yes I do recommend you buy a box of these asap if you can find one as they are in the hard to find category now. Not for the faint of heart either and certainly not a dessert smoke. This has steak dinner with a good stout written all over it. Thank you Clayton for such a wonderful cigar and experience!
