Edge maduro - what gives?
Last 5 or so Edge maduros I've tried have had terribly tight draws and / or very little flavor. Also noticed issues with the wrappers coming apart. These had been one of my favorites for the last couple of years - no longer. Heard rumors about changes in the blend and quality control problems in some RP lines. They may be trying too hard to get more new cigar lines on the market. Maybe should pay more attention to their mainstays.
On the positive side, these problems led me to try other brands and I've run across some real stunners that I'd not have tried otherwise. Two excellent mild/ medium strength maduros that are very flavorful and creamy with no irritation are the Cusano 18 paired maduro , and PDR Capa maduro. Also like Kristoff maduros. RR |
