Embered Ash in Cigar ?

Evening fellows,

Have a quick question that is killing me. Smoked a Cain F Lancero last night and the dang cigar had to be tossed.

Everytime I lit the sucker it will draw horribly and will create what appeared to be a lit ember as hard as a piece of charcoal. I cut the portion off and relit, and same thing happened again.

What could have possibly be? badly rolled stick?
