Nushagak River Alaska pictures and video
My wife and I were fishing with High Adventure Air at their Nushagak King Camp. If you want to see the first part of our trip in Wasilla, they're located here:
http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=56836 After a great time we drove down to Soldotna, had dinner with friends, spent the night at a B&B, and flew out with High Adventure Air. We took a wheeled plane to Native village named Ekwok (population 150) then took a boat ten miles down river to the king camp. We slept in cold, damp tents, ate like kings (thanks Colette) and caught lots and lots of king salmon thanks to our guide "Flip" Wilson. The Chief / Tribal Chairman from Ekwok even visited us one night. His name is Luki, and he's a pretty nice guy. He even invited me back to his lodge to take a Jacuzzi, and being the shy guy I am, what could I say? After four straight days of cold and rain, it sounded REALLY good.
