Had to share possible good news
As you may or may not know, for the past 6 months I have been working on my first book, editing the Civil War letters of a surgeon who enlisted near my home town. I sent my manuscript to four publishers, 3 of which said thanks but no thanks as they felt the market for that sort of thing was not big enough. Well today I received the following message from my last hope:
Hello Chris We have a quite favorable review from a reviewer. However, the market is very hard for this sort of book. We are evaluating the possibilities and will let you know our decision within the next week or so. Thank you again. I am crossing my fingers things go my way and they decide to publish me. Sorry for the pointless post but I was really excited.
