Default Illusione 888

I just smoked my second Illusione 888 and decided to go ahead and do a quick review.

The first one I smoked couple of weeks ago was an okay smoke that had burn issues - mainly uneven burning that I had to keep retouching. I had used a V-cut on this one. I wasn't that impressed so I waiting to try another one before offering my thoughts on it.

This one had been sitting in my humidor for about a week longer at 65%. I also used a cutter to just barely shave to cap off. Excellent pre-light draw that showed no signs of tightness. This one burned almost perfectly with only one uneven spot about 2/3 way through the smoke. The ash held on until almost the halfway mark.

I didn't find much spice in this one but that may be because I've been smoking a lot of Pepin's lately. This one had a hint of spice and a slight sweet, chocolate taste that was enhanced by the black coffee I was drinking.

I usually smoke robustos or toros. I've just found my go to Churchill.
