Sikk's Payne-Mason Review
This was given to me by my next door neighbor when he found out I was into cigars. I personally know about nothing as far as this cigar goes, but it appears to be a botique company. So bare with me.
Brand: Payne-Mason Name: Golf Classic Churchill Golden (Glass Tube) Size: Churchill 7" x 48 MSRP: $15.50 Wrapper: Connecticut Cutter: Xi2 Lighter: Ronson Wrapper Shade: Light Brown Cap: very nice triple cap Veins: very few medium size Oil: light Imperfections: three small cracks at the foot Draw: tight, it needed a poke PreLight Flavor: Hay First Third Appearance: 9/10 Construction: 7/10 Burn Quality: 10/10 Taste: 14/20 Total: 80/100 Flavors: hay, light white pepper, slight nutty Notes: burn was purfect, taste was ok but light Second Third A: 9/10 C: 7/10 BQ: 10/10 T: 16/20 To: 82/100 Flavor: nutty flavor turned to milk chocolate, and pepper flavor turned to ceder Final Third A: 9/10 C: 7/10 BQ: 10/10 T: 12/20 To: 78/100 Flavor: chocolate turned to dark, slight cinamin breifly, but mostly harsh tobacco OverAll: 80/100 Light to medium body, the middle was pretty good, but it was slow to get there and the last two inches were over powered by the tobacco flavor. *Yes, I was watch a Married With Children Christmas episode
