If you don't already have a nail gun and compressor... I would suggest one of these http://www.paslode.com/ . No cords, hoses, batteries to charge.... Or if you want to pay the shipping I can UPS you mine to borrow for awhile

Well the Monsoon rains have slowed us down, And it took a week to get our footings inspected and ok'd .... But we are back to work now...
Stitch cut's Rebar for the footings

Mrs. Stitch Hand Backfills some of the footing ppiers

Tomorrow we pour cement and then the hammering of nails begins

Even way up here at 7,000 feet our frost depth is only 12"
18" depth is required by local code ... We went 24" just to be safe.

In case you all wonder where I've been and what I've been doing...
I'm still working on the new shop.
I've been fighting the weather and the fact that Mrs. Stitch and I have done most of the work all on our own.
But a week ago I had a "Barn Raising" and a bunch of good friends from the community turned out and we put a roof on this thing !!!

Good people here, they worked their butts off ...
The roof is now done, shingles and all, the gable walls are done and the siding is going on ... This has been a long hard lesson for me,
I think I'll stick to building leather goods after this !

More to follow.
