Default Cigar Repair

Yesterday I received an order from newhavanacigars.com. I blame it on Huy since he told me to try these, but I digress. Anyway, it was a sampler of the new El Triunfador line and a sampler of the Epernay line. I put everything in the desktop and was excited to squeeze everything in there. I then closed the lid and heard "crunch". I quickly opened the lid and noticed I had left one of the El Triunfador cigars along the desktop humidor hinge. It busted up the wrapper on the cigar but I'm wondering if I can repair it or if I should just bomb Huy with it. I've read about pectin I think on here so I will take a look. Either that or just light it up!

SmokingApe is selling his cigar glue on WTS which works really well. You may be able to salvage it.

You can pick up Pectin at the grocery store. It has worked fine for me.

Sorry if I wasn't supposed to put that on there. Again, I'd blame Huy.

NewHavanaCigars is based in the USA, no problem in mentioning a US based retailer.

Links to domestic retailers is fine. You are not allowed to post links to overseas companies that sell illegal cigars.

Brad, We are herfing at the Barn it Petaluma this Saturday. I will have a bottle of pectin there you can use if you can make it over to smoke with us.

I don't know...If it were smokable, then I'd just fire it up, if not, then maybe I'd slice it into coins and try it in a pipe.

From my experiences, I found that straight cigar tobacco, even from really good/smooth cigars, is pretty rough when smoked straight in a pipe.

If you were to mix it with pipe tobacco, now, that's a different matter. That I found to be tolerable, although not very interesting or what one might expect.

------
Brad, it's really easy to fix wrappers with the liquid pectin and a brush.

If it would otherwise be a total loss, I'd experiment; nothing to lose, after all.

Absolutely, heck, one might even find it enjoyable that way, I just wouldn't rush out to smoke the cigar that way if there were any other options or possibility of salvage.
