XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter Question
Is it really necessary to have this and are there any others that will work. They are $100 here and it is not really in the budget but I may be able to swing a cheaper one if it is really necessary. Thanks!!

Re: XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter Question
I got the boy a wireless adapter around a year ago. Before that, I just hooked it up into my router with a hard wire. It worked fine, but I had to run the stupid thing across the living room. It's worth it if you don't have the cable to run.

Re: XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter Question
It depends what you're doing. If you're streaming tv / media to it, it would be better to go wired. If it's for gaming, then as long as you're not too far away from your access point, you should be ok.

Re: XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter Question
All you need is wireless bridge (AKA wireless Game Adapter).
http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-WGA54G...p_ob_e_title_2 You can find them cheaper than that, but that's what you are looking for. |

Re: XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter Question
Could always get a cheap Linksys WRT54GL and reflash with a custom firmware and use it as a bridge. That way you can also connect other devices to the bridge (like a BluRay player if you don't have a PS3, or a TiVo).
