I usually rest mine on the floor of the cart with the ash hanging over the edge. The key is to remember to pick it up after a shot.

I thought I smoked fast, when I read some reviews where the reviewer takes 2 hours to smoke a toro. I usually smoke a toro or similar size (glorioso, torpedo) on the course, and I can usually get in 2 smokes over 18 holes when I walk it. I get around pretty quick playing by myself, around 2-2 1/2 hours.

The top two tools on this link are always with me on the course. The cigar minder and divot tool. I highly recommend both. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...26tbs%3Disch:1

I always bring 5 churchill sized cigars, 3 cigar clips, and 2 lighter to the course. If I get paired up with a stranger who would like a cigar then I take the band off to avoid the "Where did you get this cigar" question.

It's about the only thing on the course I can prepare for...The game itself screws with me big time!

I do usually smoke on the course, but nothing special. I can't concentrate on either too much or the other suffers.

I have always heard bad things about setting a cigar on the grass (fairway, rough or otherwise) so I always set my cigar in some kind of holder while playing. And, I always have a cigar while golfing (well, actually 2 or 3 ).

So, since I am going alone, chances are I will wind up getting paired with someone. What is a good smoke to take for someone who you know nothing about? I am guessing something light, and not harsh.. Uhm.. How about Nub Cameroon?

You are assuming that they smoke. Just bring a couple of extras of what you're smoking. If you offer and they accept, I'm sure that they will be happy with whatever you're enjoying.

You don't have to offer him a damn thing...My golden rule is that I wouldn't give anyone anything I wouldn't smoke myself.

Alright, sounds cool. Should I just come right out and say "You don't mind, do you?" Before I light up?
