Hard to get excited about taking a pickup truck and simply bolting a turbine down in the bed when you've seen the Jet Beetle in person.



PS: I wouldn't expect the turbine in this truck to last very long in those running conditions, especially with no intake filters. Be a pretty damn spectacular show to watch when it comes apart though.

Yeah, it is looks like kind of a hack job - or at least done with minimal or questionable engineering forethought. Check out the Jet Beetle link I posted earlier in the thread if you want to see how to do these things right.
