The darkest and moist oily wrapper I have ever seen was on a Carlos Torano 2004 Tribute

La Flor Dominicana Cabinet Maduro. Oiliest single batch of cigars I've ever seen at any shop. Never bought one (I'm scared) but I sure like to look at them.

Re: Maduro Oily wrapper cigars, which one?
LFD's often times are oily. What you really need to do is go to your local B+M and check out how the wrappers on their cigars look. I love it when you find a cigar that looks so oily that it looks like it would drip oil if you squeezed it.

Here, note the shine on the wrapper, how it almost glistens...that's what is meant by oily.

Plume is a whiteish crystaline powder almost always spread evenly over the cigar. Some cigars never plume, some plume quickly. Here - two photos (neither of these photos are mine) cigar on the left is plume, cigar on the right is mold. |

Padillia Obsidians are pretty oily but keep a spare can of fuel handy as they don't like to stay lit for long unless they've had a long nap.
