Default Chestnut Lodge Asylum

Celeste and I grew up near here.
They were also a commercial trash customer of the family biz back in the 80's.

I used to tell my buddies that loonies would try to jump in front of the truck tires when we came through.
Ah the look on their faces...

It got several hits on Google.

Funny you mention that Dave. There was an asylum next door(3ac away) from my great grandpas house. It waas pretty successful until one of them escaped and told what kind of tests were being performed. It was BAD stuff. The state came through and shut him down and he went to prison. He is out and now lives on the property. He is acquiring a collection of cars.......meaning hundreds. Here is a google image of it.

There was a place called "Greystone" here in NJ and the stories were that a bunch of people escaped from there and were living in the hills, etc. Disturbing but interesting.

Pretty scary looking place Dave. My Mom grew up right up the street from Spring Grove Hospital on Wade Avenue in Catonsville. She has tons of "Grover" stories to tell, like the time she was a having a slumber party with friends and there was a Grover peeking right into the window

Funny, the only Asylum I've ever visited (as a visitor, not as a patient Bao!) wasn't spooky at all. Nice quite complex with beautiful gardens, a nice restaurant and some rec rooms. Quite a relaxing enviroment.
