Vacation Pics
Went to Vegas for three days and visited my mom then went to the Grand Canyon.
My wife took most of the pictures. Here is a classic picture of the canyon: This is the lookout point just after the Indian Garden: Colorado River: Another view of the canyon: The river: |

Re: Vacation Pics
This was a lot of fun. I hiked the 10 miles and 4,500 foot elevation change to the Phantom Ranch and stayed there the night before hiking back. The wife and our friends rode the mules. You have to be less then 200 pounds to ride the mules and I was over.
I much preferred the hike because being on a mule would have scared the crap out of me since I do not like heights. Believe it or not the hike out was much easier then the trip in. The white water trip was a blast. The guide we had was really good and the other people on the raft were great. Got a Royal Flush on the poker machine while in Vegas, so paid for part of the trip! Had to rest for a week when we got home to recover! |

Was that your first trip to the Canyon? I haven't been there yet.

You are absolutely correct. That also holds true for the bridge they are building by the damn. It is amazing they can build structures like that. |
