Default Need help finding a collectors item (cigar)

My name is Andy, I just found out about Cigar Forums from a guy at my local tobacco shop over the weekend and just joined here today. Those of you who didn't see my introduction, it's nice to meet you. The main reason I came is because he told me I could learn how to make a humidor out of a cooler in which I already read the post teaching you how. I must say, "very cool". I'm going out tomorrow and buying a cooler or 2.

After looking at all the information I can get from this website, I wish I had found it years ago.

On to the subject of this post I started. I not only smoke cigars, I collect them as well. Basically 2 out of my 4 humidors is nothing but collectibles. I have been looking for 2 cigars in particular to complete my A.F. Opus X collection. I haven't had any luck whatsoever and was hoping some people on here might be able to point me in the right direction. I need 2 Opux X Forbidden (2003) and 2 Opus X Forbidden (2004). I believe both are signed by Carlos Fuente. Any help is much appreciated.

I am slowly transitioning to the "smoke 'em, don't save 'em" class of cigar smoker. Yeah, I'll keep 'em to rest in my cooler for a little bit, but I'm not sure I'm gonna save any for years and years and years. Who knows, I may die tomorrow and never have gotten to enjoy those great smokes. Just my 2 cents (+ $.40 for SCHIP).

BTW: enjoy the cooler. I love mine. It's full and I may have to get another soon.

No, I don't believe the Forbidden was packaged in a coffin until 2005.

there is a 4 pack set of coffins that contains 2 2004 and 2 2005. the 2005 coffins were mislabled and actually contain 2006 smokes. it is the 2006 limited edition forbidden x serie robusto set.

I have to make a couple changes to my original post. I should have looked it over before hitting the post button. I am Looking for the Forbidden X Platinum (2004) and the Forbidden X Lancero (2003). Both of these only came in glass tubes and the only way to originally acquire them was to purchase a Prometheus DVD.

Gonesledn, very nice box you have their. I was going to purchase one not so long ago but I had just purchased two each of the JC Newman 110th Anniversary cigars and I told myself I wasn't going to buy anymore cigars for the rest of the month.

In regards to your two coffins that say 2005. All of them came like that. I didn't know if you thought it was a typo or something.

I think Barbourjay gets his paws on some rare Fuentes from time to time. Try giving him a PM.

Welcome brother! I think my local B&M actually has that set. Is there a non-platinum version or did they do another gift box with DVD's that looks exactly like that? If not, I'm pretty sure they've got it. I'm know they are asking more then MSRP, but it may be worth a shot.

This is the one right?

You can try calling them. If I can help you in any other way, let me know.

Footbag, that is what I am looking for. A friend of mine who has been keeping a eye out for me just called about 2 hours ago and said he knew a guy who had one. He is supposed to get back to me tomorrow. If he doesn't come through I will be calling you tomorrow night and I would be happy to mail you the money along with a couple cigars for doing the foot work.

Hmmm... seems like I've seen one of those at a shop here as well, but truth be told it may not have been there for a bit. I'll make it a point to check in the next week if you don't get it.

"Andy" was banned as he was using the same computer as jwingate6 and obscenejesster, who were both the same person and were banned previously.

"Andy" had no explanation, but someone did find a picture in jwingate's Photobucket account of a Baltimore Fire Truck.....#33.
