Shipping to Canada
I received a minor edumacation from the local friendly postal clerk this morning. Apparently, the most cost effective (read...cheapest) way to send a small package to Canada from the US is via First Class Mail. My package of 1.2# totaled $12.50 or so. If you keep the weight under 13oz, you can use the Automated Postal Machine in the lobby to send - no need to stand in line. Sending a flat rate box (small) is in the neighborhood of $24 to $25.
Only down side of using First Class is that is the equivalent of losing a package in your car trunk, under all the tools, beach sand, groceries and kids toys. It will get there, but is kinda like the slow boat to Canada! BTW, like to hear from our frozen brothers in Canada on shipping from there to the US... |

Re: Shipping to Canada
First Class is also the best way to send packages within the same zone. For example, California is all one zone and its 2 days to most places, overnight to many. Same as Priority.
