Diamond Crown #5
i just smoked a Diamond Crown #5 robusto with my morning coffee and the construction was so so , it had a mainly black ash was a little harsh the flavor was okay but nothing special for a stick that cost me $10.50 it was trash if it was a $3 or $4 stick id be happy with it , maybe it was just the batch or something but i was not impressed at all

Re: Diamond Crown #5
I too have not been a fan of the Diamond Crowns. Granted I've only smoked about 5 of these...but I will not purchase another. IMHO for the pricepoint, they are just not worth it. That is the great thing about this hobby...everyone has different opinions on sticks/brands.

Calm down, sport. Its hard to read/follow posts when there is no capital letters and/or little punctuation. Like you said, "sorry if my review sucked im new to all of this". So consider it constructive critcism.

Re: Diamond Crown #5
Is this the regular or the maximus that you are talking about?
I think the regular isn't very good at all. The maximus on the other hand I always enjoyed. Of course, it'd been a while since I've had one. |

Re: Diamond Crown #5
I'm with you on this! Not a fan of the regulars. But the Diamond Crown Maximus is a totally different smoke!

Re: Diamond Crown #5
I, too, am new to this forum, but I do have some suggestions for you based upon my limited experience. You say you smoke the cigar with your morning coffee. It has been my experience that when reviewing a cigar you try to be unbiased about its flavor by drinking something that either doesn't impart its own flavor or clears your palate for the next puff. Coffee does neither of these things. "The construction was so so". What about it? Did the wrapper split? Did the cap peel off? Did it explode?(because I don't think you can still get those!) What about the flavor was harsh? Many times reviewers will split their review of the cigar into thirds(first third, second third, etc.). Was it bitter, spicy, leathery, sweet, citrusy(sp?), nutty? The "review" was very brief, not very informative and poorly typed. However, kudos to you for offering a review after having been here a month and with like 12 posts to boot. Don't give up! Just read others blogs and pay attention to how they review, and whether or not it helped you understand their view of the cigar. Often times when our palate is developing, it's hard to put into words the flavors we are experiencing, and thats ok. Thank you for the review and I look forward to reading your next as you grow in your knowledge of this fine hobby of ours.

True. Like dispensing with this passive aggressive response.
