The Abyss - Question
Had my first taste of The Abyss last night. My father wanted to open up his bottle that I gifted to him since it's after the "Best After" date of Aug. 4th. And of course, he wanted me to share it with him.
Tasted pretty good. Was pretty shocked at the flavors that just lingered in your mouth for seemingly forever. Clearly a quality product. I thought it could use a little bit more age tho, seemed a bit young still. We have been storing our bottles in my "beer fridge" that I keep at 55F for cellar temps, aging has been going nicely I suspect. How long does Abyss take to fully mature? I was thinking of opening my bottle with him for New Years or Christmas. Not sure yet. |

Re: The Abyss - Question
I've heard the 06 release is drinking really amazing, and every other release is doing well it seems from reviews. The beer should have no issues aging 5-10+ years. Storing the beer in the right conditions is key as always.

Re: The Abyss - Question
5 months should be long enough to taste an improvement.
