Default I tried to start a fire

ON MY FACE!!

I was walking my dog smoking the last 3" of my cigar when it went out.

I went to relight it and like an idiot I was facing into a slight breeze

Needless to say, my upper lip, nose, eyelashes, and eybrows are a little less hairy now

Oh, and my nose is a little sore too

I too learned the hard way that once a stick reaches a certain point that it is much safer to relight away from my face.

Ouch!

The other way to get burned - in the good ol' cigarette smoking days, I always cupped my hand around my Bic to light my smokes. 20 years later and it's still a habit. All I have now are torches. Cup your hand around one of those and things heat up quickly. I warn someone at least monthly about cupping their hands when I hand them my lighter.
