Wouldnt quite call it underrated. It has a massive following, its just a shame they arent produced anymore. Great first bike. Next up will be the Triumph Street Triple though

I know what you are thinking. Yeah, it's an EX. Yeah, it's got the automatic seat belts. Yea, it's got cruise control. Yea, it's the the big motor - 1.6 liters of pure power. One hundred AND eight horses baby. Yea, I took off the wheel covers - cause they were slowing me down!

It's ok, you guys can be jealous, I'll still let you ride in it...

160,000. It's a baby. Just put a new distributor in it. It got a new exhaust system last year.

How nice a car do you want to drive in the city? It beats walking.

My ride before this was a 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. I drove it for 14 years. When I finally traded it in, it had close to 175,000 miles on it.

My wife had no faith in it. The only thing wrong with it was the AC was shot. Guy said it would cost more to fix it than my truck was worth. So I had 2/70 air for about 3 years.

Don't get me wrong, I was just having some fun. I LOVE this car. It get's about 25 mpg in heavy city traffic. It's a perfect city car. And after not having my own car for 4 years it's like I'm 17 again.

I walk about 90% of the time. 5 days a week, to and from work rain or shine. I found myself renting a car once or twice a month or taking really expensive cab rides out to the suburbs so after buying it for a couple hundred bucks and paying $200 a year for insurance it's still less than I was spending monthly on cabs alone. And not having to inconvenience my wife by making her get a ride to work when I needed our "real" wheels is priceless.

I'm currently saving for a supercharger. As soon as I finish this damned test (CPA exam), I'm slapping a blower on.

Currently have a 03 Altima 3.5SE for my wife, 07 4Runner Sport, 1985 COrvette (looking to sell/trade btw), and a 1998 Dodge Dakota that I use for commuting 75mi a day, for me. I also have a 2003 VStar 1100 custom (actually customized, not just the model designation) and a 2008 Ninja 250 I use for racing and track days.

I love the 4Runner the most I think, but the bikes are a lot of fun too.

Default Re: What do you drive?

I prefer to drive this

Preferably in this configuration

But driving 40 miles a day, I'll take this at 30 MPG over Big Tess's 10 MPG

We finally replaced my wife's POJ Passport with this little guy about a month ago. Once I got over the fact that I now look UNDER semi-trucks instead of being around eye level and that I can't see over most vehicles like I once did, it's really pretty fun. I still reach for Big Tess's keys when I'm not driving to work though (much to my wife's joy!)
