Default grow coffee?

When I was getting all crazy a few years ago buying grinders and machines, my wife looked at me funny but supported my hobby.

When the roaster came, she asked if a coffee plantation was next.

Passing by the plant section at Whole Foods, I noticed small coffee plants.

I'm under them impression that Florida's low lying tropical climate would prohibit this, but must admit I am intrigued by the possiblity of really seeing the brew from plant to cup.

Anyone have first hand experience?

Default Re: grow coffee?

Never did the growing, but saw kits to grow your own coffee....looked to me like it was an indoor plant thing....well definitely in Minnesota. I was going to buy the kit, but it said it would take several years to produce actual beans and I'm just not that patient. Good luck!
