No, I completely understand what you mean.
Whatever the potential issue one may have with the people in the film, one thing it did VERY well was "did some great presentations to challenge people to think about the nature of consciousness and perception, and to animate complex neurobiology issues many with science or medical backgrounds have trouble picturing or explaining." *quoted section is from another place around the internet. Explained it concisely, so I copied and pasted here.
