Turtle Burgers
Got this email from a friend yesterday. Thought I'd share. Definitely something for the kids to enjoy, and those young at heart.
Handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave, then the next step, add hotdogs as the heads, legs with slits for toes and tail. Next step. Place on an oven rack covered loosely with foil and bake for 20-30 minutes at 400 degrees. A little crispy, not too crunchy...just how a turtle should be, no?

Nope, but I was the one who posted the link to the detailed recipe/blog because some people initially thought that these were actual turtles.
After I did that, it was someone else on that other board who cooked them. I vaugely recall him saying that they were so rich and greasy that they were very hard to finish. |
