Default Image Resizer Needed

I saw it here before (I think) but I need a program (free please) that can take an image and make it bigger or smaller without making it blurry. I think is was "raster something" or something like that.

I am not that savvy with searches, so any help would be appreciated.

depending on your needs, irfanview may work. I use it to resize photos all the time.

You can do it through photobucket if you are using them to host images as well.

Otherwise, if you are looking for a web-based image editor, Picnik.com is pretty easy to use and seems to have better features than photobucket.

GIMP is similar to photoshop, but it is freeware. It is a little harder to use than Picnik but has more capabilities.

Are all these suggestions good for all image types, or just jpgs?

just about any image type can be read but you can only save to a subset. I typically convert everything to jpeg or gif.
