Default Fantasy Baseball -- Help a NOOB!

So my buddies roped me into this free fantasy baseball league.

I showed up and did my draft, got some great players.

However, NOW WHAT?

Depends on what kind of league you are in.

Wait for your pitchers to all tear their rotator cuffs, or just go "Dontrell Willis".

The big thing is making sure you pay attention to players that may be injured and not on the DL. Usually they give you recent news for each player. In the begining there is not much to do until you start seeing what your players are giving you for production.

I played Magic from Beta to 5th Edition.

I had a full set of the infamous "Power 9" as well as all kinds of other rare stuff. Arabian Nights was cool art wise, but their were not too many great cards. I liked Juzam Djinn though.
What was that again in post #5 on that thread??

I played baseball, basketball, football, wrestling and soccer when I was a kid - I couldn't tell you the stats of any of our games or even 1/3 of the guys on the teams...

But you -

I played fantasy BB one year, it's a long season. One thing to watch are catchers...some only play when certain pitchers pitch

What does it mean to "drop" a player?

That means you kick him off your team...it opens up a slot so you can draft someone difffernet. Good to do that if a guy is out for the season or is a slug.

Where are you playing? Yahoo, ESPN, CBS?? It's tough to really say what you should do w/o seeing your team and the rules of your league.

See how many "DL" slots you have, move them to those spots, and pick up players to replace them on your active roster.

See if they're on the short term DL before you get rid of them. Some DL players are top notch and will greatly help you later in the season.

The only bad thing about Fantasy Baseball is that it's an everyday thing. You can win at fantasy football by only logging on once or twice a week. Fantasy baseball requires you to make adjustments on a daily basis. That's a loooonnnng season.
