Sour Humi?
Since the BOTLs have made a move here, I'm posting this up here as well!
I have a humi which I haven't opened in a long time. I opened it up last night and a strong sour smell was present. I wiped down the inside and took out the beads that were sitting in there, but it still smelled. I'm afraid of putting in any sticks because I don't want them to pick up that smell / flavour. It's sitting at home on the counter airing out right now. Any suggestions on what I can do to bring this humi back to life? Cheers, spin |

Re: Sour Humi?
Try a light wash with baking soda and water. Also, leaving it open and exposed to the sun may make the smell disipate. Likely, with time it will be fine

Baking soda.. good idea. Didn't think about that! Thanks. I'll give it a try tonight.
