I barely grok the obvious

Esoterica Dunbar - Dunhill Durbar.
I would vote that 10-years is plenty of time in a tin for something to go right with these guys (if anything gets grossly righter with these selections - don't know myself) - and another day is just an opportunity for something to go wrong. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes. Life is for the living! Smoke that stuff!

Not Scary
|
i've personally sampled some 40 yr old Dunhill Virginia that has been great and i've had some older blends with latakia and orientals in them that i could not tell were in there due to how much the flavor changed.
i believe the blends you're talking about have latakia in them, or orientals, or both. those make greater changes over a longer period of time, where a VA based blend makes bigger improvements over a shorter period of time. if you wanted to wait another 30 years, then go for it, but i'd smoke it now.
