Maybe, just maybe this year I'll hang around.

Re: The Big Smoke Las Vegas Nov 13-15 ..
I went a few years ago and it was fun, but I am at the point where I would rather spend the money on a nice box of cigars rather than get a bunch of random singles. If you are just getting into cigars it is a great event, and I do think it is worth the money when you consider you get all you want to eat and drink. Have fun.

Re: The Big Smoke Las Vegas Nov 13-15 ..
Most of the people who live in Florida, and plenty from the rest of the country, will be attending the 2009 EPIC2 (Epic Ybor Herf) in Ocala that weekend......
Hoping Andrew surprises us with a visit

Re: The Big Smoke Las Vegas Nov 13-15 ..
Almost went last year...I was in Vego and met up with some great BOTL for a mini-herf but didn't pull the trigger on the event since our friends & mrsreindeer didn't particularly want to go. This year's out because of the baby but maybe next!

I've been wanting to go to this so much. I don't think my wife will allow me now that we just purchased a house though.

Re: The Big Smoke Las Vegas Nov 13-15 ..
Yes it's very pricey but I'm just going to one of the nights and hang out at Casa for the rest of the weekend. I've never been so I guess I should go while I have the chance.

Re: The Big Smoke Las Vegas Nov 13-15 ..
I went a couple of years ago. You do get a lot of singles. Only bad thing when I went is that everyone had to wait outside the ballroom until the doors opened and then they moved you in like cattle. Everybody got a bag full of stuff and a coupon book. You took the book to each vendor/rep. and got you cigar or a sample pack. Overall it was a good time though. I might be going again. Either to Vegas or the one in NY. The Marriott Marquis in NY where it is held is a really nice joint too.

I went for free a year ago, and helped at a booth. For free, it was GREAT, but I will NEVER PAY for that event. IMHO, its not worth it.

Re: The Big Smoke Las Vegas Nov 13-15 ..
I really want to go but when you add up the costs (admission $550, airfare - $400, and hotel) it's at least $1,500 which is more than I can afford...
Maybe next year... |
