Honestly I do not know of a good cigar under $2.00, but at $2.14 I love the Tampa Sweetheart #500 Maduro, 5x50. I just burned thru a bundle in less than 3 weeks.

I am surprised that nobody mentioned Benchmades or if they did, I missed the mention. Great Pepin/Ashton sandwich cigar with some pepper and a medum+ strength.

the benchmades are a great smoke. I also really enjoy Taboo value blends, 20 for $30 but there is always some taboo coupon out there . With all this talk about Sancho Panza and Tampa Sweethearts I'll have to add them to the list of sticks to pick up

I agree with the Perdomo Slow-Aged. The two I've had were very nice.
A couple of others is the LaFloridita Maduro with a little time is quite nice and I've got a bundle of Famous VL Hond 500 that are coming along nicely as well.

Well it's not every day that I happen upon a testimonial from someone I respect that concerns a cigar I would never smoke. Now I will politely smoke one if given to me, but I would not be buying any, for sure. Well, this new troop support bender I got on recently has got me thinking about all kinds of different things, and I have been sampling the wares to see if I am really a dyed in the wool Havana only guy. WE SHALL SEE about this mythic Blend #7 robusto. I went ahead and grabbed two bundles with NO idea of what to expect, and in reality, they are going to troops anyway, but I will be smoking at least three to get a feel for what I am sending out. One thing I DID manage to remember, JR Alternatives are an alternative only to smoking your own feces. I remembered that from before, but for some reason I figured that times were different now. Nope, still crap, but about a buck 50 each. Poor troops

But no more of them, I promise.

Famous Nicaraguan Maduro

Normally a little over $2, but Famous has a one day special making them under $2. Hands down my favorite cheap maduro (favorite size is the robusto). There is speculation that it is made by Oliva, but that was never confirmed by either Famous or Oliva.

CFO #7's you cannot beat. Best bang for your... not even a buck out there.

I did a blind taste test with my friend, he picked that over a 15$ gurkha, then again... i don't blame him.

Gurkha's *insert throwing up smiley face here*

I agree with a number of the choices above, but I especially agree with Joel re: Connies. Seconds of Hoyos, Punch, ERDM, JR Ultimate, and other Villazon flagships for maybe $1.50/each after S&H? For the budget smoker. hard to beat.
