Re: Lancero question
The LFD (La Flor Dominicana ) is a great lancero although it's listed as a double ligero I have read that due to the lancero size and the oil content of the ligero less is used in the lancero so it is not as balls to the wall strong as say a double ligero chisel. There are a lot of flavors going on in this stick earthy hints of chocolate, pepper citrus on the finish. As far as an NC lancero goes the LFD is a stand out for me.

Re: Lancero question
I like to dry box my cigars before I smoke them. This especially helps with lanceros. If it doesn't draw well pre-light, then the cigar doesn't get torched. You might not be able to save cigars that are rolled like tent pegs, but it can help for some that are on the tighter side.
Here's what I like: Opus PL - they're on the pricier side, but I can't ever recall smoking a Fuente with a construction problem. Tatuaje Especiales - these are tasty treats. |

Re: Lancero question
I think the Tempus by Alec Bradley is a decent cigar in most vitolas, but very good in lancero (they call it the Creo). Looks like they're about $7 and change online.

I forgot about the Illusione HL. Another great lancero! And around $7 to boot.

Re: Lancero question
I've been on a lancero binge lately. I'm new to the vitola and no expert but I've liked
Oliva V Hirsh y Garcia La Aurora Cameroon Tempus Creo Cubao #3 for a slightly mellower smoke

Re: Lancero question
Just for the record, Taboo has the Oliva V lancero on sale now for $4.99.
Use the 35% off option by May 31 and drop that to $3.25. Glad I could help.

Re: Lancero question
I have enjoyed most of the ones mentioned here and several are favorites. I will mention one more though... the Nestor Miranda Collection Special Selection. I was gifted one my Stitch and was really impressed. I have since picked up a couple of 5ers from cBid for under $15.

Re: Lancero question
Were I not broke, would grab that immediately. Haven't had a lot of the others mentioned, but have had this one, and it is wonderful.
