The Day the Earth Stood Still
I watched the old version earlier this year and loved it.
I watched the new version last night and was wondering why they made this film. This movie was horrible! Maybe I missed it, but they didn't explain why Keanu Reeves came to Earth. Two hours of my life I will never get back.

Re: The Day the Earth Stood Still
I watched it the other day, liked the original better. It had cool fx but was confusing.

Re: The Day the Earth Stood Still
I bought the DVD set just to get a wide screen version of the original so that my upscaling DVD recorder could convert it to HD. Still love the original, hate the remake. I feel the same about War of the Worlds. The version made in the '50's was great, the Tom Cruise version sucked.
