Default Rocky Patel Juniors

I am looking for some opinions on the Rocky Patel Juniors. Right now Cigar Monster has the Rocky Patel Juniors with a Maduro wrapper for a good price.

They are great short winter/car ride smokes. If you are in need of some good short smokes, these are great for the price. The maduro's are the best!

I have had the naturals, good little cigar for the price. I did find the flavors to be inconsistant. Some were better than others. I believe the couple sungrowen I had were great. Have not had the maddies, but I dont think you can go wrong.

I've had the RP Naturals, and I like them quite a bit. I carry a few in an old tin I have for short car smokes. I haven't had the maduros yet, but I'll be ording a box today.

I've also had the Famous Maduritos which aren't bad; I got them on Cigar Monster a while back for $19.99.

Thanks for the heads up!

Almost missed it

Thanks for the heads up, I forgot to check them this morning.

I'm almost out so I got 2 boxes heading my way.

Being a RP whore, I would say they are not the same as the 90's or the 92's.
They are however very similar. I have and regularly smoke both the Nat and the Maduro. I like the Mad. more, they are a tad bolder and the flavor tends to be more peppery/spicy. Last about 20 to 30 minutes depending on how you smoke it. makes an excellent lunch time smoke or while driving around, which I do a lot of in my job.

$30 for 40 smokes delivered, cant go wrong

Thanks again for the heads up,
Chas

I bought a box a little over a year ago. Not a bad smoke. Not a great smoke, but a nice smoke when you are short on time.

I'm sure you know the drill, since they were the monster they either just gota bunch in and have to move some quick, thus they are fresh and need some rest and age if they taste "grassy", or they are sitting on a ton they cant move and they have the age on them but they have been sitting in their over humidified warehouse and need some rest to dry out.

But I could be wrong they may be perfect right off the truck .

Hope you enjoy them.

Chas

^^^ I have always found Famous' stuff to be closer to good than CI, which seems to believe in soaking cigars in water before shipping. I didn't pull the trigger on these, as I am hoping they do the select juniors before 4/1/09.

The last time the Nat's went up on Monster I got me 5 boxes of those as well,
And they came with those tiny little crystals already on them ..Perfect!
I'm expecting these to be well aged and smokin' good.
Famous doesn't usually screw around like CI does.

Mine showed up today also.

Glad you liked it.
I still have about a 1/2 box of the Naturals and about a fourth of a box of the Maduros so mine get to rest

I like the '92 Juniors and the Sun Growns.

If I weren't broke I'd have gotten some. Are these anywhere close to the ones above?

I love the DPG Black Perlas, similar size and a great smoke. They are more intense then the bigger smokes of that line, and I can get 45 minutes out of one.
