better scent later on, I would be doing it but I can't get the dang window in my office open (been painted shut for who knows how long)
generally it's less offensive that a cigar, but it depends who else has to smell it |

Re: smoking a pipe indoors
For me smoking a pipe inside is fine.
I think it depends on the room note of the tobacco you smoke. Your significant other and your guests may react differently to the lingering smell of different tobaccos so experiment - maybe smoke some inside and some outside if it keeps the peace. When I first started smoking cigars a couple of months ago I smoked them inside as well but due to inadequate air movement and ventilation my eyes began to water and sting from the heavy smoke and it was a bit unpleasant. Also the remaining smells of the cigars were a bit stronger than I'd anticipated so I've mainly been smoking the stogies outside the last couple of weeks. |

Re: smoking a pipe indoors
Pipes definitely leave a nicer note. It's the only thing I can smoke when I visit my Mom, otherwise it's outside as far away from the house as I can get.
