No idea actually... it was just offered to me. I don't have it in my possession yet. I think it is a Senseo something or other. It supposedly makes 2 cups at a time or something like that. I'll find out more details later on this evening I hope.

Pods are more like this...
(there are also reusable ones you can buy and use your own grounds) The other ones are considered K-Cups...

I'd toss the thing in the trash.
With pods, you don't know what the beans are, you have no idea when they were roasted and you haven't a clue as to how long the pods have been sitting in a warehouse or in the store. My point is, fresh whole bean coffee is the best, not some preground stuff that have several months of age. |

Re: So I was given a used coffee maker...
A make your own pod will solve the freshness problem.
I thought this was interesting and creative: Make your own Or you can buy a gadget to make it for you. It all seems like kind of a hassle. Maybe this is why it was gifted to you. I can brew 2 cups in my regular coffee maker no problem and I don't have to make a diaper first. My wife loves her Keurig. It's great if you only drink 1-2 cups a day, but k-cups can get expensive if you drink a lot of coffee. They make a reusable k-cup that works pretty good if you want to brew your own. |
